The Cost of Renting a Limo in Boston

The Cost of Renting a Limo in Boston

Posted on October 31, 2021November 12, 2021 by muddyquoll20

It’s easy to see that a limousine can make any occasion even more special. When it comes to limo pricing, you’ve got lots of choices in many areas. It’s time to check out those options and find out how much you should expect to spend when renting a limo.

How Much Does a Limo Cost in Boston?

Bear in mind that these are estimates and when it comes time to book your limo the price may be quite different depending on a bunch of different factors.

For instance, the price of your limo will depend on the size and style of the limo you choose, as well as the location you need to go to.  Also, if you have a large party or group of people coming with you, this could affect the price of your limo.  If your limo is taking you to a specific event like a wedding or party, you might want to book your limo sooner rather than later to avoid paying more for the ride.

Many limo companies charge by the hour and the rate includes the car and driver, here is an idea of the pricing you can expect.

  • Sedan: Smaller limos usually for airport rides run anywhere from $40 – $60 per hour
  • SUV Limo: These can handle 4-6 people and the price is roughly $50 – $70 per hour
  • Stretch Limo: Used for 8-10 people and you can expect to pay between $100 – $125 per hour
  • Stretch SUV: Good for up to 15 passengers and depending on the amenities they run between $150 -$300 per hour

While the prices above are just an example, you should expect to pay more for the higher-end cars, and less for the lower-end models. You can also expect a few other fees that may be charged. Let’s look at those next.

Additional Fees

Some companies charge extra fees for using their car, like a cleaning fee, parking or tolls.  You can also expect to pay a bar fee if that is applicable.  Make sure that you discuss any additional fees associated with the booking before you get the final invoice.

Tipping Your Driver

Lastly, we come to tipping.  Chauffeurs rely on tips as an essential part of their wages so yes it is important to tip your limo driver.  You should tip anywhere from 10-20% of the total bill.  Some companies include the tip as part of the overall total so it doesn’t hurt to double-check.
