Our third regional wine dinner of 2016 will stretch your perceptions of what Italian food is and can be.
Join us as we travel to Italy's northernmost clime, Alto Adige. This region of Italy, with its historical roots lying more in Austria and Germany than in the Mediterranean, features some of Italy's finest salumi, cheese, and of course dumplings!
As for the wine: Alto Adige is home to some well-known varietals (Pinot Grigio, Pinot Nero) and we'll be pouring fine alpine expressions of both. There will be a dry Moscato with the intense bouquet of a dessert wine but a sugar-free palate, a single vineyard low-yield Pinot Bianco, and an indigenous red varietal called Lagrein.
Chef Brian has created a wonderful menu to celebrate this amazing region. We can't wait to have you over for dinner.
